Camping in Crowden

We went camping for the weekend just up the road at The Crowden campsite at the begining of the month, I was sure I had posted about it but obviously I hadn't. The site is only 15 minutes away and is really cheap to stay. I think it cost us about £30 for 2 nights as we are members, it's about £5 more for non members. It really is worth it. The site itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside with loads of good walks nearby or if you just want to sit and relax its perfect for that too. There is a really great and safe wooded area at the back of the campsite that is perfect for the kids to play in. We only saw Dan when he was hungry or thirsty, the rest of the time he was playing.

I really like the fact that the tents don't need to be super close to caravans or motorhomes. Our tent is really big but still sometimes being surrounded by metal boxes can make you feel a bit hemmed in. I was too busy sunbathing and having naps to take many photos, I did mange to rouse myself enough to click my phone a few times.
